OMG, Kiara is POTTTY-TRAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, how could I forget!!!!!!! I have been bragging to everyone, but my blog! We have been so busy with potty training these past few days! I am looking forward to the day I no longer have to buy boxes and boxes of disposable diapers, pull-up training pants and baby wipes (although, they have become hubby's favorite)!

So far, we are at day #3 (we had to start over as we messed up by taking her to the in-laws house next door, where she had a few accidents :-X. So, she was shy about using potty again! I have been keeping her focused and encouraging her SO much. We started with rewards (stickers, muffins and such--those only work temporarily!). I think what has really helped is bribing (LOL!) but most of all lots of love, attention, and encouragement. I think she also likes it when I do a little dance when she goes potty and sing my famous potty song!!! I act like the total clown, but its SO much fun. Mind you, I would never do this in public, lol. But really, timing is everything. We introduced her to the potty before she was even 1 years old. By 1 year, she had her first potty, we picked up the 3-in-1 potty by safety first. I picked it because it has a soft seat. She learned about it at an early age, but I think we started too young. She was an early walker, so I figured this would be a piece of cake, not quite. At 2 1/2, I decided it was time and that is such a perfect age to learn too especially since we are in preschool and a few of the other children are learning to use it too. So, its kinda like Monkey see, monkey do! During the thanksgiving break, I decided it would be the perfect time. I spent this week focusing on potty time. And I am so glad I did. I knew I had to be on point with it, so I decided to keep her on a potty schedule. It helped using the potty every hour and giving her lots and lots to drink especially cold drinks according to my best friend Christine! I was SO shocked, she even went potty last night at my mom's on thanksgiving. I thought that would screw it up for sure, but it didn't! She must be really comfortable there. I think she also wanted to show off. My mom rewarded her by giving her some new Dora toys. She was definitely the Star of the show yesterday. I made everyone come see her little pee pee in her potty bowl, and everyone cheered her on and applauded her success! We're SO proud, I love my little pumpkin.

p.s. don't you just love this princess potty? I am thinking of adding it to Santa's Xmas list, yay!
