Watch your P's and Q's!

One of the best things about being a Mommy is the fact that children tend to repeat absolutely everything you say!! And if that wasn't entertaining enough... if they watch you go to the bathroom, put on makeup, or deodorant, they will do the same!

Seriously, can I have some damn privacy? Of course, I wouldn't say that to my little one, but I say it to my husband all the time :).

Flashback to my childhood, I vividly remember watching my uncle shave his face with a disposable gillette razor, and guess what? I remember doing the exact same thing immediately after he was done! Oh yes, I shaved my face at 4-years-old without knowing what the point of it was? I put on the cream and everything. What an idiot, I was!

But, as they say, monkey see, monkey do! i had a nice cut on the side of my face because of it. I was lucky it didn't scar nor did it speed up the puberty process where I suddenly grew facial hair, lol! Can you imagine? I would be in the circus by now! At least, I learned never to touch a razor in my life again until of course, I really needed to ;)! But, will that stop Kiara from experimenting? She does watch her dad shave on occasion! Maybe, maybe not. She actually watched me take a bath once and I happened to shave my legs in front of her, AND guess what?!Just take a wild guess what my mom stumbled upon one day while going to the bathroom? You guessed it! She was shaving her little legs, OF COURSE!!! GRRR!!! "But. Mommy does it!" I am just waiting for her to say that one day.......

So, let's face it....children will eventually learn all the bad words and pickup on all the bad habits sooner or later. At 2-years-old, she is already doing things I didn't do until I was a teenager!! She is growing up way too fast..is there a pause button somewhere?

With that said, should I get my daughter ear plugs now or later? And maybe lock her up in the house while I am at it. Well, I never really thought of doing so, until my two-year-old daughter decided to call my husband "Babe" one day!

Yes, I know, it could have been worse, but come on, BABE?! WHY!?? Well, yes, you guessed it, she hears me refer to him that way.... so now I must deal with her saying,"THANKS, BABE!" Let's just hope she doesn't repeat that at preschool!
From now on... we have decided to enforce one little rule..... to S-P-E-L-L absolutely everything including little pet names we have for each other like "BABE, etc."
I really hope she forgets it. Can you imagine her calling her classmate "BABE?"
HMMMMM..... maybe I will go to our local blockbuster's to pickup that movie with the talking pig named "BABE!" Now, there's an idea!
In any event, I just hope she forgets I ever named my husband after a talking pig, oink, oink!
