It truly is never a dull moment with Kiara around! She never ceases to amaze me with the cleaver, little silly things she comes up with.
Alas, Friday morning rolls around... and guess what? It's time to start the day....time to get up and change more diapers and put up with my little demanding child. Let's start the day with some breakfast, shall we?
Since my little Missy has been "little Miss independent" lately, I give her the option of what to eat for breakfast. Mind you, I hardly do this during mealtime because she will probably choose both, so I give her the option of choosing between "Quaker Oats Oatmeal" or the "Trader Joe's Raisin Bran" cereal.
Of course, she prefers to have the Oatmeal because she is probably sick of eating Raisin Bran since she had it the day before! Excuse me, but that's pretty much all I ate while growing up, except it was the regular kind filled with tons of sugar! I will never feed my daughter that crap!
Fortunately, my DD loves bland stuff, so she would never get sick of eating her Oatmeal everyday, it truly is her favorite breakfast food! She has even asked for it before for lunch or dinner, is she nuts?
I hope she never asks me to add sugar in, or maple syrup because that will be the day... I officially put her in full-time daycare, just kidding! But for now, she is just happy having her plain ol' boring oatmeal. Thank God!
So, the funny thing is... she stares at this oatmeal box for quite some time, and notices this little Quaker man logo directly on the box!
She pauses, then points to him with her cute, little pointer finger, and says to me with a surprised look on her face, "GRANDPAAAAA!!!!!!!!!"
Almost as if she was so happy to see him and surprised at the fact that he would even stop by to join us for breakfast! How sweet of her to have even thought to mentioned him! But seriously, I could not stop laughing to the point of nearly pissing my pants right then and there!
Rather than correcting her, which is what I usually do, I immediately picked up the phone and called everyone I knew to brag about this little random moment, and they all laughed hysterically. So, now I wonder... was she really being serious? Or just trying to be funny?
The funny thing is... her grandfather looks nothing like this Quaker oats guy and the truth GRANDPA IS REALLY BALD ( shiny bald like Mr. Clean or Montel Willams not Britney Bald)!! So, why did she associate Mr. Quaker Oats with Grandpa? I mean, the Quaker oats guy does a full head of hair and he may even look like a Tranny, but who knows! She's done with before with SANTA!!
*FLASH BACK* to last year when she met Santa at the mall! I am happy to say she was probably the only child to not fear him or dread the entire experience completely. She LOVED him... but the sad thing is... whereever we would go, whether it was to a baseball game, the grocery store, visit my grandma at the convelescent home, or just down the street, she would literally run after every male senior citizen and yell "SANTA, SANTA, SANTA!!!!"..while chasing after them down the street!! How embarrassing!! How funny... I love her!
I hope when I get old and grey, I don't have little children running after me calling me "Mrs. Claus" or "Mrs. Fields" or better yet "Aunt Jemima" as I peacefully push my little walker down the street.
