Monterey Getaway!

Just got back from beautiful Monterey Bay! We are officially exhausted!! So, I shall update, and edit a few of my previous blog once we fully recover.. from our mini-vacation! Don't worry.. I will fill you in on all the details and all the places we visited within a 24 hour period.. shortest vacation of my life!! Hubby's business trip, actually.. but it was so worth it! And we came to the conclusion that for next year's getaway, we will most likely leave the little one at home with Grandma or pack Grandma into our suitcase...:) we still are iffy on the whole 'Sitter' idea, which means no break for Mommy! *sigh*

If you are ever in the Monterey Peninsula area.. I highly recommend staying at the Portola Hotel & Spa! They give you freshly baked chocolate chip cookies at check-in.. and their catering is totally awesome! By the way, their carrot cake was delicious! YUMMM!

[SIDE NOTE: JUST REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR FREAKIN' EAR PLUGS!!!!!!!!!! DAMN SEAGULLS HAD ME UP AT 4 AM!!!!!!!!! TALK ABOUT A RUDE AWAKENING.....]

And a trip to Monterey would not be complete without a visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium! For your convenience, you can even purchase discounted? tickets at the hotel's front desk. Kiara had such a blast. It was her third time at that particular Aquarium. I think I may need to invest in their membership!
